Flawless Brush review

 Hi all!

I hope you are all well and safe in these times of complete weirdness and I suppose a little but scary too.

It's been an age since I last reviewed something but with lockdown more or less "done" here in Melbourne Australia I've been able to head out and find the occasion to actually wear make up.  Also a chance to go out and physically try a few different things.

This item was blowing up my instagram and I suppose I just HAD to try it.

Please note this is not a sponsored review.  I bought this for myself and a few friends to try.

This little lovely has honestly impressed me.  It's beautifully soft, buffs product into the skin very easily.  Doesn't require alot of product to get a very even and 'flawless' coverage.  And works well with liquid AND powders.  I've not tried it with creams yet but will as soon as I get the chance.

It's not very expensive and whilst it took a little while to get to me, when I inquired they were very receptive and helpful.  Of course with Covid 19 creating havoc with our postal and delivery services patience is required.

So, the verdict?  I like it.  Alot!

For the cost of the brush itself I think it's excellent value.

RRP is $32 AUD but they constantly have sales.  And of course the more of them you buy the cheaper per item.

I'm sure you clever people can do a search and find them.  Assuming they haven't bombarded your instagram or other social media accounts already!

That's all for now.

Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones.  Stay safe and stay healthy.

I would love to hear any feedback, if any, regarding this product, this review, or any other reviews I have created in the past.

Knowledge is power and I love getting your feedback.

Until next time.

L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll Mascara review

Hello everyone,

I hope all is well in your world today.

Another review for you all.  Again not sponsored.  I purchase all products myself.  My philosophy is a review which is unbiased, no nonsense and real.  It's an opinion of course.  It would be impossible to be suitable to every single product available.  But I do my best to explain why I have chosen one way or the other in relation to the product claims.

So, here we go!

I hadn't used a L'Oreal mascara in a while and admittedly had bought this when it first became available.

L'Oreal says: "the first curled volume effect mascara from L’OrĂ©al Paris. The volumising mega curl roller brush curls and thickens each lash from the root. The quick Mega Volume formula holds up the curl for an all day lasting effect!"

As per my usual routine I used it, wasn't super impressed (as is always the case for me with a new mascara).  I think I expect some kind of miracle immediately where I apply the mascara and automatically transform into a super model!

However, I revisited this again I am absolutely amazed at the volume this mascara provides!  It lifts your lashes right from the base.  Opens up the eye and makes the most of the length you have!

Now I have before and afters to show you but be gentle.  I'm not a super model first thing in the morning (or ever!).  My photos are not 'touched up' or filtered in any way.  I want you to see exactly how the mascara looks on a real person.  Not a pretend person.

Before

After

Forgive the bags and the bad hair.  But being a 'normal' person who has to go to work every day, I think it's important to show how amazing this stuff really is!

RRP around $21.95 AUD.  But of course L'Oreal very kindly has sales constantly so keep an eye on L'Oreal retailers for a bargain!

Thanx for reading.  Would love your feedback.

Until next time.

Kind Regards,
Margaret

The Quick Flick - Review

Hello everyone,

Another review.  This time on the eyeliner stamp product The Quick Flick.

This is an eyeliner pen on one side and the "flick' stamp on the other.  Three different sizes, Petite for a small flick (8mm), Modest for a medium flick (10mm) and Grand for a large flick (12mm).

You receive x2 pens in the modest which is fantastic value!

Intense Black PETITE 8MM    Intense Black MODEST 10mm   Intense Black GRAND 12mm

Colours come in Intense Black and Hot Fudge which is a rich Chocolate colour.

It's easy to use although you have to get used to doing eyeliner in a new way.  Sometimes it takes a couple of go's to get used to a new pen.

I purchased the Intense Black in modest.  Firstly you create your flick with the "stamp" and then use the pen and create the full line along your lashline.

Unfortunately for me, the product transferred like nobody's business after about an hour.  Even with an eye primer (Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer, or which I swear by).

Here are the results.  Forgive my not very well lit photos.

I wasn't very happy so tried again another day with the same results

So yes am disappointed that it didn't work so well for me.  But I also bought some for a friend and she she swears by it!

I think I will give it another go.  As they say third time's a charm!

The great thing is it's convenient and not too expensive.  Retails for around $35 AUD but you get x2 pens.  Can be purchased online at thequickflick.com.au.

I'd love to know what you all think if you have tried it!

So it goes.

Until next time

Margaret

Juvalips verdict

Hello everyone,

again a long time but finally am posting my trial of the Juvalips, natural lip plumping device.

I bought it quite a while ago and tried it on a couple of occasions.  The packaging is lovely and has very easy to follow instructions.  Honestly let's face it.  It's not brain surgery.

Basically it's a little battery operated machine that fits just around your mouth and sucks your lips into the little space at the top of the device.

It doesn't bruise nor hurt.  Just feels a little weird whilst it's doing its thing.  The "vaccum" lasts for approximately 60 seconds and will automatically stop.

You can do two cycles one after the other but it's not recommended to do more than two.

Here are my results.

Before/"natural" with a little lip balm

Cycle 1.

Yes you can see the marks around the outside of my mouth but they go away very quickly.

Cycle 2.

Finished with lipstick

As you can see significant improvement of my upper lip.  Smoother and much fuller without having a trout pout!

Left it for a week or so and then tried again.

Same result.  Verdict?  I actually really, really like it!

Easy to use, keep clean.  You get replacement felt pads and the mouthpiece comes off so you can clean it.  All in all I think worth the investment!  Can be purchased from the Juvalips website juvalips.com and retails at around $99.95 for the basic pack.  You even get a pair of AAA batteries to get you started.

Again I have not been paid to use this product.  I bought this myself as I have tried so many products to keep my lips fuller.

Well that's it for now.

Until next time.

Margaret

Face Halo make up removal sponge review

Hello everyone,

I hope the new year has started well for you all.  May 2018 bring you much love, joy,
health and happiness.

Now, after hearing a little buzz and a heads up by a friend who came across this, I have had a chance to use the Face Halo make up removing sponge.  According to the site "Face Halo’s HaloTech fibers get into your pores and will remove all your makeup better than anything else".  A tall order as most of the time I struggle with mascara removal even with a good cream cleanser.
So was a little skeptical.

After the first use I was quite impressed on how much of my make up it removed.  Even the mascara!  Tried all different kinds of mascaras except waterproof and it removed everything.  I tried waterproof eyeliner as well and yes it removed that also.  Although it did require a little more work.  But still not fully convinced I used a toner afterwards and there was nothing on my cotton pad.  So the next day after using the sponge I used micellar water cleanser and still nothing!!!

Just to shake things up I used micellar water last night, and then used the halo face sponge there was still make up left behind!  So I can sincerely it definitely removes all my make up.  For those who are curious I use a mineral make up powder foundation, liquid concealer and powder bronzer and blusher.

Sooo my verdict I really like it!  It gently exfoliates my face so my skin looks great and uptakes my moisturiser quickly.  I have to use much less to get the same result.  BONUS!

You can purchase them from www.facehalo.com and they price is very reasonable.  A pack of 3 for $22 USD.  They are machine washable (although the site recommends no fabric softener).  I wash mine in the shower as soon as I've used it and then throw it into the machine at the end of the week (as per the site's instructions).

Honestly for the price point I'm quite happy.  They are small, ideal for travel and easy to keep clean.  I wish this was around a long time ago!  Please jump onto their website to read about the product and view their videos.  Hint: the orange test is what convinced me!

Again just so you're aware I bought these myself.  This is not a sponsored review in any way.

Well until next time stay safe.

Margaret

Paula's Choice Skincare - My saviour

Hi everyone,

I wanted to quickly tell you all this.  I recently came down with a horrible chest infection.  To say I was congested is an understatement.
Now we all know that when we have a cold or flu and constantly blowing our noses, our skin becomes dehydrated and the skin around our nose becomes red raw and starts to peel.
That never happened to me!  By using my Paula's Choice skincare regime and using a face mask once I didn't get any of that awful dryness once I recovered.

 My regime being the following:
Calm Redness Relief Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin - morning and night
Resist C15 Super Booster - morning
RESIST Moisture Renewal Oil Booster - morning and night
RADIANCE Renewal Mask - night (once only)

Please understand I am in no way paid to review these products.  I buy these based on others recommendations and I cannot tell you how happy I am.

I am so impressed with how well they worked whislt I was sick, people actually questioned whether I actually was!  Until I opened my mouth and started to speak.  Then they knew.....no not pretty.

But have made a full recovery and ready to get on with it!

Until next time please stay well and healthy!
